Will the star Batsmen of Sri Lanka Dinesh Chandimal shine in the Nidahas Trophy?

All eyes on Dinesh Chandimal as he will be leading the Sri Lankan team in Hero Nidahas Trophy 2018. The country has invited India and Bangladesh for Nidahas Trophy as its celebrating its 70th year of Independence this year. The trophy will be commencing from 6th March and will continue till 12 days. The last final match of the tournament will be held on 18th March. Sri Lanka has Scheduled 7 matches in total and all of them will be frolicked at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo.

Bangladesh will be traveling Island ahead of Indian as it will be playing the warm-up match with the hosts. Indian will join Sri Lanka for the inaugural match. Dinesh Chandimal, Sri Lankan captain for the tri-national series will definitely aim to score high for the home in the absence of Angelo Mathews. According to the previous test matches, Chandimal’s records against India is impressive. In his earlier matches with India, Chandimal has scored 384 runs at an average of 42.66, including a century and a half-century. Chandimal started his cricketing career at his first school Dharmoska College, where he was the first schoolboy to exceed 1000 runs with an average of 1,580 and won the Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year Award in 2009. Soon after that, he joined Nondescripts Cricket Club.
